The cycle life of a lithium battery refers to the number of times it can achieve a full charge and discharge (a cycle) before it begins to lose performance.
Lithium batteries have a much longer cycle life than lead-acid batteries. Lead-acid batteries have a cycle life of around 200-300 cycles, whereas some lithium batteries can reach as many as 7,000 cycles.
The best cycle life for you depends on your budget and lifestyle. Batteries with longer cycle lives are usually more expensive, so this is a factor worth considering. If you live in your RV full time and draw a lot of power, it makes sense to opt for the longest cycle life you can afford.
On the other hand, if you only take a few weekend trips a year, then a battery with a shorter cycle life will still last you for many years.
Cycle depth describes how low the battery can be discharged without causing damage to the battery.

Size & Weight
When it comes to batteries, size and weight are key factors.
Choosing the best RV lithium battery for your rig is a personal decision based on your setup. You need to consider how much extra weight a battery system will add to your RV, as well as how much available space you have to store them.

Other higher-powered models may come in a little heavier at about 80 pounds, but they tend to be more compact and easier to store than lead-acid alternatives.
Power & Voltage
Determining the right power and voltage level that you need from your new lithium battery can be difficult. For most RV’s, 12-volt batteries are plenty sufficient, but determining the amperage you need requires some work on your part.
First and foremost, make a list of all the appliances and devices in your RV which will draw power when you’re off grid. The more power-hungry items you need to run, the more Amp Hours you’ll need to keep everything going.

Converting to Lithium Batteries
In most motorhomes there are both 12 volt DC circuits and 120 volt AC circuits in the living quarters, and a standard car battery to start up the engine, as well as some other minor electrical processes. Of course, there are many types of rig and set up, so yours may be different from the standard.
The battery bank in your rig needs to deliver the right amount of power to all the electrical items inside – so everything from your lights to your refrigerator. Depending on the electrical demand of all your appliances the battery bank may also be connected to inverters, which is where things can become complicated to replicate when converting.
