Pechanga RV Resort and Casino is a combination RV park and casino located just outside Temecula, CA, just off Interstate 15. It’s part of the combined hotel, resort, retail, and casino complex of Pechanga Casino and offers a convenient stopping-off point between Los Angeles and San Diego.

It’s just a few minute’s drive from downtown Temecula and provides you with plenty of great options for dining, shopping, and recreation.

Bakersfield RV Resort is located, unsurprisingly, on the outskirts of Bakersfield, CA. It’s about 10 minutes outside the downtown area and gives you excellent access to everything the city has to offer.

If you’re traveling on Interstate 5 between LA and San Francisco, it’s a great option to stop off for a few days or to use as a base point to explore the nearby scenery. You’re just a few hours away from Sequoia and King’s Canyon National Parks, a must-see for any RVers traveling through the state.

The Resort itself is large and very well-maintained and offers a mix of pull-through and back-in sites. It has a potent blend of recreation facilities, including a pool, a playground for the kids/grandkids, and even a nicely equipped gym.

Wine Country RV Resort is set in Paso Robles, CA, home to more than 200 famed California wineries. It’s just a few minutes from the local airport and puts you mere minutes from shopping and restaurants downtown.

Situated along the scenic banks of the Santa Ana River, the Rancho Jurupa Regional Park offers multiple campgrounds for RVers and tent campers alike. It’s just outside Riverside, CA, giving you excellent access to everything Los Angeles has to offer.

If you’re traveling near San Francisco or Sacramento, Flag City RV Resort is an excellent option in the area. It’s located just off interstate 5 in Lodi, CA, and puts you in a central location to travel between many great attractions.

You can check out Lodi Lake or explore the Sacramento River Delta for watersports, fishing, and swimming activities. San Francisco speaks for itself, with tons of excellent restaurants, top-notch shopping opportunities, and all kinds of fabulous museums and other attractions.

Flag City RV Resort is an extensive, well-maintained, and modern RV park. It includes a range of different site types able to accommodate even the largest motorhomes. They offer full hookups at every site, including wifi and cable throughout.

Vineyard RV Park

California is famous for its wine country, and no region is more beloved than Napa Valley. Vineyard RV Park offers easy access to some of the most storied vineyards and wineries in the Valley.

It’s located on Interstate 80 between Sacramento and San Francisco, just a few minute’s drive to the town of Vacaville, with ample shopping, groceries, restaurants, and attractions.

Reason to stay at Vineyard RV Park

We’ll level with you; the location itself is the biggest draw to Vineyard RV Park. It’s a well-maintained park, to be sure, but it isn’t exactly a resort. That said, it gives you a good mix of recreation facilities, including a playground for the kids, a small gym, and a pool.

The owners have been on a multi-year spate of upgrades and improvements, with results starting to show. The sites are primarily large, all clean and well cared for, and include full hookups.

Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds

For those making the trek up stunning and storied Highway 101, there are few better places in NorCal to stop off than Azalea Glen RV Park. It gives you excellent access to California’s incredible redwood forests and the Pacific ocean.

The park is about a 20-minute drive to Arcata, a small town with grocery stores and restaurants. It’s just a short walk from Patrick’s Point State Park and several local beaches, great if you want to check out the Pacific.

Reason to stay at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds

Azalea Glen has a lot to offer both location-wise and in amenities. It’s a small park and a bit dated, but the sites are very well kept up and offer hookups plus a range of good recreation and relaxation opportunities.

The owners have made it their mission to add little extra touches to your stay. There’s an on-site art gallery showcasing the work of local artisans plus reflexology treatments available for booking. When you add the hiking, biking, and general recreation possibilities of the nearby beaches and state park it’s a great combination.

Riverwalk RV Park

Situated on the banks of the Eel River, Riverwalk RV Park is one of the best ways to see California’s spectacular Redwood forests while still staying in a developed town. Fortuna, CA offers a full range of restaurants, shopping, and even a few excellent local breweries, notably the Eel River Brewing Company, a short walk from the park itself.

If you’re driving up Highway 101 and looking for a nice place to stay without being too far from downtown, Riverwalk is a great option.

Riverwalk offers a good mix of recreation facilities, especially for an RV park so close to a town. It has a pool, walking paths, a clubhouse with games and other entertainment, plus a playground for the kids.

The sites are clean and reasonably spacious with full hookups. The real star of the show is the easy access to shopping, restaurants, and groceries within walking distance from the park.

The Lakes RV & Golf Resort

The Lakes RV and Golf Resort is located just outside the delightfully named Chowchilla, CA. It’s about a 40-minute drive to downtown Fresno and is a great spot to stop off if you’re traveling to or from just about any area of the state.

You’re about two hours away from major attractions such as San Francisco, Sacramento, and the paired Sequoia-King’s Canyon National Park, great if you want to take a break in between those locations.

Reason to stay at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort

The Lakes aren’t kidding when they describe themselves as a resort. The sites are beautifully maintained, with mature hedges providing privacy between each large spot and a host of excellent amenities.

There’s a pool, spa, tennis, a mini-golf course, and, perhaps the most attractive amenity of all, a free round of 18-hole golf for two every day at the attached golf course. That’s one heck of a value, especially considering the quality of the park itself.
